The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department is on the scene of a shooting on Neverfail Road just west of Pleasant Hill. Officials say 55-year-old Teresa Austin died in the incident and a relative, 37-year-old Stacey Austin, was taken into custody for voluntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence. He was taken to the Cumberland County jail and initially placed under $1 million bond. The TBI, the district attorney’s office and the sheriff’s department are all on scene investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
