Both executive committees from the Upper Cumberland Human Resources Agency (UCHRA) and the Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) voted to merge the two entities. The two agencies will still exist legally but changes will be implemented. In the merger, the UCDD will serve as the lead entity with the executive director and finance director watching over both agencies while the finance and administrative staff will be employees of the UCDD. The consolidation of finance and administration is estimated to save over a half million dollars within two years.
