A trial date has been set for a Roane County murder-for-hire case. The suspect, 32-year-old Laura Ann Buckingham, is scheduled to appear November 5 in criminal court for her trial to get underway. Defense attorneys say they plan to use an entrapment defense. Buckingham, is charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder when she supposedly tried to hire someone to have the father of her child killed.
