TENNESSEE DROPS SEASON OPENER TO WEST VIRGINIA 40-14
No. 17 West Virginia scored first and never trailed in a 40-14 win against Tennessee on Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
The loss, in front of an announced attendance of 66,793, marks Tennessee’s first in a season opener in its last 10. It also marks the first loss for Jeremy Pruitt, who was making his debut as Tennessee’s head coach.
The Vols will now host ETSU this Saturday (September 8, 2018) at 4 p.m. eastern at Neyland Stadium.
