CUMBERLAND COUNTY COMMISSION APPROVES TO PAY SITE DEVELOPMENT GRANT MATCH WITH CITY OF CROSSVILLE
The Cumberland County Commission made a big step towards its’ relationship with the City of Crossville by unanimously approving to pay for half of a Site Development Grant match. The funding comes from the state for $500,000, but the city, who applied for the grant recently, must match the funds. Both the city and county agreed that the funds are most important in the hopes of kick-starting new business development in the area to coincide with the Horizon Initiative plans. The money will be utilized to prep a site at the Interchange Business Park, just off Highway 127 North and I-40, and make it pad-ready for business prospects to come in and inspect.
