Newly released unemployment data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development show unemployment rates decreased in 70 counties, remained the same in 15, and 10 experienced a slight increase in unemployment. Locally, the rate in Cumberland and Roane County is 4.3 percent, 4.4 percent in Fentress, 4.2 percent in Pickett, 4.5 percent in Morgan and 5.3 percent in Rhea County.
