He was originally charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty but after a no show in Cumberland County court, the charge has been upgraded to a felony. Court documents state 50-year-old Michael DeAngelo Abston of Junior Camp Road was arrested July 27 for supposedly kicking a dog to death and dragging it to the edge of a wooded area. Another warrant was issued for Abston after he failed to appear in court last week. Deputies have served that warrant on Abston.
