A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County resulted in one injury late Friday afternoon (October 20, 2017). According to the report released over the weekend by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a tractor-trailer heading driven by Revazishvili Revaz of Orlando, Florida was traveling east at the 320 mile marker when he rear ended a 1999 Dodge Caravan operated by 85-year-old John Weyant of Crossville. A passenger in the van, 80-year-old Elaine Weyant of Crossville, was transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Revaz was not hurt but cited by troopers for failure to exercise care.
