Cumberland County deputies were called yesterday to intercept a reckless driver on Highway 70 East near Westel Road. The report states 20-year-old Jared J. Adams of Rockwood drove the vehicle all over the road and attempted to run one motorist off the highway. Rockwood police came up to assist and found Adams parked at Jolly’s Market. A check of Adams driver’s license came back suspended after he reportedly failed a sobriety test. Adams was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license and drinking below the legal age.
