Al-Hakeem Ameer Garrison is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County General Sessions Court on Monday, August 31, 2026, to face multiple felony charges stemming from a high-speed pursuit originally initiated by the Tennessee Highway Patrol in March 2020.

According to the uniform citation affidavit filed by Trooper Jake Bramer, the incident began when authorities observed a vehicle traveling at 91 mph in a 70 mph zone. When the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop with lights and sirens engaged, the driver fled, reportedly reaching speeds between 115 and 125 miles per hour while dangerously passing cars in the emergency breakdown lane.

Although the initial pursuit and citation is documented as having occurred back in March 2020, Garrison was only recently served with the official paperwork. The specific reasons for the multi-year delay in service remain currently unknown.
