Drivers heading through town on Friday, August 28th should prepare for significant delays as road repairs get underway on North Third Street starting at 6:00 AM. The maintenance work addresses damage left behind by previous water main breaks.

The closures and traffic restrictions include:

• Complete Closure: The section of North Third Street stretching from Franklin Street to Stinnett Street will be fully closed to through traffic.

• Lane Reductions: Traffic between Highway 70 (Race Street) and Court Street will be reduced to a single lane.
