ALCORN ARRESTED AFTER VEHICLE PURSUIT WITH CUMBERLAND CO. OFFICERS
Cumberland County deputies took an individual into custody after a brief chase yesterday (Sunday, August 11, 2019). The arrest report indicates officers observed a vehicle on P.O.W. Camp Road exceeding the speed limit. Deputies paced the suspect’s automobile up to 63 in a 35 mile per hour zone. When they tried to stop the vehicle occupied by 45-year-old Timothy James Alcorn of Crossville, he allegedly sped up to 80 m.p.h. leading officers on a three mile pursuit. Alcorn then reportedly drove off into a field, got out of the vehicle and ran into a wooded area. Alcorn was later caught and arrested for driving on a suspended license and two counts of evading arrest.
