ALEXANDER FIELDS TO FACE RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT CHARGES FOLLOWING JULY 4TH SHOTGUN INCIDENT
Alexander Fields is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court tomorrow, October 29, 2026, to face felony charges of reckless endangerment involving a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from an incident on the evening of July 4, 2026, when Fairfield Glade Police officers responded to a “shots fired” call near Peavine Road and Stonehenge Drive. According to the affidavit of complaint filed by Officer Heston Charlton, a large crowd had gathered in the area to watch Independence Day fireworks.
Upon arrival, law enforcement located Fields inside an apartment building on Wilshire Heights Drive. Officers recovered a 12-gauge “AK-style” shotgun with a spent round in the chamber, alongside an unspent round and physical evidence on the ground indicating a shot had been fired into a patch of gravel directly beside the apartment complex.
A witness positively identified Fields as the individual who discharged the firearm. According to the police report, after being read his Miranda rights, Fields admitted to consuming 10 shots of vodka and 5 beers prior to firing the weapon.
