A multi-vehicle crash has brought traffic to a halt on Interstate 40 Westbound in Cumberland County on Tuesday morning.

The incident, which was reported at approximately 9:12 AM on August 4, 2026, occurred near Mile Marker 305.

According to emergency reports, all westbound lanes are currently blocked as a result of the collision. Motorists are still able to crawl past the scene using both the left and right shoulders, which remain open.
