Saturday’s severe weather system brought two confirmed EF-0 tornadoes to the Upper Cumberland region of Tennessee, impacting both Cumberland and Fentress counties. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

The Cumberland County tornado touched down swiftly and without advance warning from local weather radios or smartphone apps. One local resident described the sudden event, noting that the storm hit “right down the road… it was that quick and outta nowhere.”

According to storm data, the Cumberland County tornado featured the following characteristics:

• Maximum Width: 140 yards

A second EF-0 tornado simultaneously struck neighboring Fentress County. Local authorities and emergency management teams are continuing to assess the full extent of the property damage caused by the storms.
