ALLEGED KNIFE WIELDING OAKES ARRESTED AFTER CHASING MAN IN CROSSVILLE

Crossville police responded Monday to a home on Aster Street off Goodwin Circle to a female armed with a steak knife chasing a man. The report indicates an argument between the two started over a cell phone. The male subject broke the phone and that is when 33-year-old Jessica Noelle Oakes of Crossville allegedly grabbed the knife and started to chase the man outside of the residence. Oakes claimed she was head butted by the man she was chasing. Officers noted bruises on the arms of Oakes but determined it was days old and not caused by the incident. They also did not see where a head butt was sustained by Oakes.

Oakes was deemed the primary aggressor. The knife was seized at the time of the investigation and placed into evidence.

Oakes was arrested for aggravated assault.
