HIGH SPEED PURSUIT IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ENDS WITH ARREST

A high-speed pursuit in Cumberland County yesterday ended with an arrest. A deputy says a motorcycle operated by 40-year-old Charles Addison Wyatt of Crossville passed him with no visible tag. A chase started that led the two onto Taylor’s Chapel Road with Wyatt allegedly passing vehicles in no passing zones.

About the 2,000 block of Taylor’s Chapel Road, Wyatt reportedly pulled over but when the deputy exited his cruiser, Wyatt took off on the motorcycle.

Wyatt supposedly tossed a black bag allegedly containing drugs into the ditch before crashing into a fence. Wyatt refused medical treatment and was arrested for reckless endangerment, evading arrest, manufacture, sale and delivery of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of simple possession of drugs.
