ALLEGEDLY DRUNK MAN ARRESTED AFTER YELLING AT VEHICLES; CLAIMED TO BE “THE PRESIDENT”

On April 16, 2026, Crossville Police Officer Jackie Grant responded to a report of a male subject walking in traffic and yelling at passing vehicles on Genesis Road. Upon arrival, the officer observed a man matching the description walking west on Interstate Drive and recognized him from prior contact the previous day as Altie Drashner.

Officer Grant made contact with Mr. Drashner and immediately noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. He showed clear signs of impairment, including slurred speech and loud, spontaneous outbursts. As the interaction continued with the assistance of Ptl. Price, Mr. Drashner’s behavior grew increasingly aggressive. He admitted to having consumed a “BeatBox” alcoholic beverage (11.1% alcohol content) just 10–15 minutes earlier.

Due to his level of intoxication and the change in his demeanor, which posed a risk to himself and the public, Mr. Drashner was placed under arrest and charged with Public Intoxication. He was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. During transport, his aggressive behavior escalated further, and he made irrational statements, including claims that he was “the president.”
