ALMOST $3,000 STOLEN FROM GARAGE ON OLD ELMORE ROAD

On April 20, 2025, Deputy Jeffrey Brown responded to a burglary report on Old Elmore Road, Cumberland County. The resident reported that she was away from her home from April 17, 2025, at approximately 14:00 until April 20, 2025, at around 15:00.
Upon returning, she found one of her garage bay doors slightly open and evidence of forced entry, with the door pried open and C-clamps removed. Several items were stolen, though specific makes, models, and serial numbers were not yet provided, as the owner was still gathering this information.
Overall, an estimated value of around $2,900 was stolen.
She noted that her motorcycle seat was removed and the zero-turn mower seat was lifted, suggesting an attempt to hotwire them. She mentioned that a man she knew had known she was away and she had asked him to feed her dog, but he was also out of town. Neighbors reported being absent most of the time but saw nothing suspicious when present.
Currently no charges have been filed, and no suspect identified.
