ALTERCATION AT FESTIVAL IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY LANDS ONE IN JAIL

An altercation at the Homestead Apple Festival in Cumberland County this past weekend landed a Putnam County man in jail. The report states 48-year-old Randall Thomas Tanner of Cookeville back a vehicle up into a male subject. The victim hit Tanner’s vehicle with his hand. Tanner supposedly got out of his vehicle and grabbed the male victim by the neck out of fear he was about to be hit. Tanner then by all accounts struck another subject in the mouth. Tanner was charged with aggravated assault and assault.
