The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department is looking into a case of animal cruelty. A citizen on Wabash Lane in Lake Tansi told officers she noticed a dog nearby left outside chained up without food or water for four days. The deputy noticed the canine was walking around with a body part of the dog hanging down. The canine was taken to the animal shelter for medical treatment. No suspects were named in the report.
