ANTHONY WAYNE ELLIOT BACK IN CUSTODY AGAIN

The man who was involved in the head-on crash last year involving his pickup truck and also a vehicle driven by THP Captain Stacey Heatherly and charged with DUI and other charges after the crash and was back in custody again for similar charges in Knoxville. Anthony Wayne Elliott was charged in Knoxville on March 13th for a second offense of DUI and driving on a revoked license.
His recent arrest came after fleeing from what was described as a domestic situation before being pulled over by a Knoxville police officer and charged with DUI there. Elliot bonded out.
Elliott was charged after the April 2nd, 2024 event on Highway 62 in Morgan County when he crashed into the car driven by Heatherly. According to Morgan County court records Elliott pled guilty to vehicular assault in the case on October 7th last year he received a four-year prison sentence but all time was suspended to state probation except for 90 days. He was also ordered to attend an alcohol and drug assessment program at the Knoxville jail on March 15th.
