Area sales-tax collections continue to climb in the Upper Cumberland region in figures just released. Overton County had the largest rise, with nearly 20 percent, followed by Fentress County at 8.5, Cumberland County with 5.3, and White County at 4.9 percent. Pickett County reported a 20.9 percent drop in sales-tax collections. Overall, the state saw a 4.3-percent rise.
