Misdemeanor assault charges against former Harriman Police Chief Kenny Humphrey were dropped yesterday in Anderson County General Sessions Court. The alleged victim in the case did not show for the court proceeding yesterday The prosecution retains the option of filing charges again in the future. Humphrey was charged with assault after a June 30, 2018 incident at Swifty’s Atomic Bar & Grill in Oak Ridge.
