A Crossville woman has been charged with aggravated assault during an attack at a Westel bar Saturday. According to reports, Cumberland County Deputies were called to Cumberland Medical Center’s ER where a female subject was receiving stitches for several deep lacerations to the face. She told police that she was an employee at the Mountain Top Bar and Grill and that she had been arguing with the manager, 35-year-old Ranata Nicole Brown. At one point she said that they both ran into each other at the bar, and when the victim pushed Brown away, Brown allegedly picked up a heavy bar glass and began to strike her in the face. The incident was corroborated by two witnesses. Afterward, officers visited Brown’s home on Larch Drive where the suspect reportedly confessed to the incident.
