Late Monday night, Cumberland County deputies were dispatched to a Mimosa Lane home for a report of an attempted burglary by a shirtless man. Upon arrival, deputies encountered 25-year-old David Lynn Griffith two doors up, who claimed he was walking to a friend’s house, except he didn’t know his friend’s name or address. Deputies then went to speak to the woman who’d called in the report; she said Griffith had been jerking on her door. When she said she was calling authorities, he reportedly left. Griffith was taken to Cumberland County jail and charged with criminal attempt.
