A recent pursuit in Fentress County landed a Clarkrange man in jail. The report states 19-year-old John Stagner was driving recklessly in the Jamestown Walmart parking lot in a Polaris Razor. When officers arrived, Stagner escaped through a field off Route 52. He then led police to Highway 127, traveling south in the northbound lane and nearly hitting a police cruiser. He was caught and booked on several charges including two counts each of aggravated assault of an officer and reckless endangerment.
