Deputies in Cumberland County went to a home on Fox Creek Road yesterday for a domestic disturbance involving a firearm. The arrest report indicates 51-year-old William John Austin of Crossville held a man at gunpoint then hid the weapon in a pile of leaves. The victim told officers he was in the home preparing to go to court when Austin suddenly pointed the rifle at him telling the victim to get out of the home. No shots were fired in the incident. Austin was arrested for aggravated assault and transported to the Cumberland County jail.
