The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing senior citizen. Yesterday, 78-year-old William Braun, walked away from his home in the Deer Lodge community saying that he was walking to New York. As far as authorities know, there has been no mental status change. His family is concerned for his welfare because of the heat and his unexpected decision to leave. Braun was last seen today (Friday, September 7, 2018) walking at the 317 Exit on I-40 in Crossville after a motorists dropped him off. Braun is a Caucasian male wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt and a hat. A picture of Braun was not initially available by authorities.
