BAILEY FACING CHARGES AFTER CRASHING VEHICLE INTO TROOPER

A woman is facing charges after she crashed into a trooper on I-75 in Anderson County. Officers state 39-year-old Kimberly Bailey faces reckless endangerment and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. The trooper was providing traffic control for another officer assisting with a disabled vehicle when he was hit. The injured trooper was transported to UT Medical Center for treatment. The report states Bailey was traveling with a 2-year-old at the time of the crash. The child was not hurt. Bailey is scheduled to appear in Anderson County General Sessions Court November 20.
