BIKES, TOOLS, DOGS SWIPED FROM CHIEF DAYBREAK DRIVE RESIDENCE

At mid afternoon Wednesday, Cumberland County deputies responded to a home on the 1100 block of Chief Daybreak Drive in Tansi for a report of a theft. The resident said he’d been renting the home and the owner had served him with eviction papers stating he had until February 15, 2019, to vacate the property. He said he returned to the home Tuesday to find several items – including his two dogs – missing. When he called the landlord, she reportedly told him she knew who had taken his property and would tell the person to return them. The man said he drove by the homeowner’s daughter’s home and saw some of his property on a trailer in her driveway. The items missing include a 3/8-inch drive impact gun, a socket set, a hand tool set, a pink 20-lb. cylinder of R-410A refrigerant, a BMX bicycle, a mountain bike and two border collies. Total value of the stolen items is estimated at $590.
