BLEDSOE COUNTY SCHOOLS SHOE DISTRIBUTION DATES – APR. 9 – 10
From Bledsoe County Schools:
Dear Parents,
First Lady Maria Lee’s Tennessee Serves initiative is proud to partner with Samaritan’s Feet on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10 to distribute a brand-new pair of shoes and socks to all students from Bledsoe County public schools. Your child will receive a pair of shoes and socks as a tangible representation of the hope, support, and opportunity that is available to each student in this exceptional community.
Samaritan’s Feet serves and inspires hope by providing shoes to children and adults around the world. Since its founding in 2003, Samaritan’s Feet and its partners have served over 10.5 million people across 111 countries and over 625 United States cities.
This is the second shoe distribution partnership between Tennessee Serves and Samaritan’s Feet. In September 2021, First Lady Maria Lee and Governor Bill Lee held a distribution event in Perry County, where 923 students received a brand-new pair of socks and shoes.
Shoe distributions will take place at Bledsoe Middle School and Bledsoe High School on Wednesday, April 9, while the distributions for students of Pikeville Elementary, Mary V. Wheeler Elementary, and Cecil B. Rigsby Elementary will take place on April 10.
It’s our hope that this small gift brings joy to each student in Bledsoe County and is a tangible reminder of hope for each family.
