BLOODY ALTERCATION IN CROSSVILLE INJURES ONE, ANOTHER ARRESTED
A bloody altercation at a residence on Burnett Street in Crossville Monday left one with serious injuries and another arrested.
Upon arrival, police found 34-year-old Brandon Fults sitting on the curb with a 2 ½ foot ax handle next to him.
Fults told officers he was tired of being pushed around by a female and a man identified as Scott Sticka. Fults claimed Sticka became aggressive with him inside the home. That is when Filts allegedly reached for the ax handle under a couch and began to strike the victim repeatedly.
Fults stated he was being held against his will at the home for four days but police found no evidence of that.
Sticka sustained severe lacerations to his head, along with swelling to his arm indicating that he may have tried to defend himself. The victim was taken to U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of internal head bleeding.
The ax handle was seized as evidence.
Fults was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
