While on patrol yesterday, a Cumberland County deputy was flagged down by a man on Davidson Court. He informed the officer a woman was hurt.

The arrest report states once the deputy got inside the home, he observed 59-year-old Gary Allen Phillips standing over a female victim.

The deputy noted blood splattered on the kitchen floor and counters, the couch, the living room floor, and end tables.

Phillips reportedly admitted to striking the woman in the head with the dog collar.
