A single-vehicle accident occurred on Sunday, September 6, 2026, when a blue Ford pickup truck flipped off the roadway near the intersection of Miller Avenue and Rock Quarry Road.

Emergency dispatchers received a call reporting the motor vehicle accident with injuries at approximately 1:31 PM. According to local authorities, the 2005 Ford traveling south on State Route 392 veered off the road and overturned down an embankment.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 62-year-old Steve Oliver Riggs of Tennessee. Following the crash, Riggs was charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI), possessing an open container, failure to drive on the right side of the road, and failure to exercise due care.
