Glenn A. Kay is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on September 10, 2026, facing charges of aggravated assault following a February shooting incident.

According to an affidavit filed by TBI Special Agent Shawn Scott, Cumberland County authorities and the Fairfield Glade Police Department responded to a 911 call placed on February 16, 2026, reporting a shooting at Fairhaven Drive. Officers arrived to find a woman on the ground outside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Investigators stated that the victim identified her brother, Glenn Kay, as the shooter before being transported by air medical helicopter to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Law enforcement secured the residence, located Glenn Kay inside, and placed him under arrest without further incident.
