BODY FOUND IN BURNING VEHICLE LAST NIGHT IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

On Thursday, around 7 PM,  state and local authorities were called to a vehicle fire on Winningham Road, off Dunbar Road in Cumberland County. A body was later discovered inside the burning vehicle. People around the vehicle reported hearing several explosions and lots of heat and heavy smoke. The SUV had been engulfed in fire and all four tires exploded. The heat had melted the SUV’s license plate, leaving investigators unable to identify to who the vehicle belonged.

Cumberland County Sheriff says it is too early to rush to judgment as to the cause of the fire. The identity of the body has not yet been released.
