BODY FOUND IN HARRIMAN WEDNESDAY NIGHT IDENTIFIED

The body that was discovered in Harriman Wednesday night has been identified. According to police, 54-year-old David Smith had not had any contact with friends in several days. After attempts to reach Smith failed, a friend reportedly broke into Smith’s apartment at 1742 Bennett Circle to check on him. Smith was found dead with a laceration to the throat. Authorities say that it appeared that Smith had been dead for days and they are investigating the case as a possible homicide. The TBI and 9th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office are assisting in the investigation.
