BOMAR ARRESTED FOR DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE, SIMPLE POSSESSION

While conducting a traffic stop Friday, Roane County deputies encountered 51-year-old Kelly Lynn Bomar, whose license was restricted to use only with an ignition-interlock device. Bomar attempted to deceive deputies about the device, then admitted he’d taken it from his vehicle and placed it into this vehicle so it would appear as if he were using it. The interlock device was in the center console, not hooked up to anything.

A search of Bomar turned up a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.

According to the arrest report, he was charged with simple possession or casual exchange, driving on a revoked license and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.

At the time of his arrest, Bomar was out on bond for felony charges and wearing an ankle monitor.
