An individual charged with the murder of a Cumberland County man appeared in criminal court today. Officers say 47-year-old Billy Joe Wannyn of Spencer is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in the death of 71-year-old Albin Buechel. Buechel’s body was discovered at his home on Seagraves Road in Pleasant Hill in January of this year. He had reportedly sustained several stab wounds. In court today, the judge set a bond hearing date of May 15, 2018. Wannyn is being held in the Cumberland County jail.
