Update: Law enforcement searching area around Food City/Ladd Landing for an escaped prisoner. Individual is wearing a green jumpsuit. Large amount of police presence. Do not attempt to engage this individual. If seen call 911.

We do know it’s a black male in the green jumpsuit.

We have received reports that a prisoner from the Roane County jail has escaped. We are working to get more. Be sure to lock your doors until this person is captured. No details on the escapee.
