(BREAKING NEWS ) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on I-40 late last night in Cumberland County. The incident took place between the 326 and 327 mile marker westbound next to a rest area. Both lanes were closed shortly after it took place to at least 6 a.m. central this morning as troopers investigated the scene. A full report will be released after the victim’s next of kin is notified.
