BREAKING NEWS – The Roane County Sheriff’s Department says a juvenile in Rockwood falsified information regarding a threat toward Rockwood High School today. Officials say this resulted in a significant amount of disruption within the school environment. Following the investigation, the 15-year-old juvenile responsible for falsifying the threat was taken into custody by the Roane County Sheriff’s Department. According to Sheriff Jack Stockton, the minor has been charged with being a delinquent juvenile. Again, there was a falsified report of a threat and not an actual threat against the school or students. The Roane County School System and the Roane County Sheriff’s Department will continue to identify and investigate all threats against schools and students. Officials take each threat with the utmost severity.
