BREAKING NEWS – The Roane County Board of Education will meet this Saturday (June 16, 2018) at 9 a.m. at the Williams Building in Kingston in an emergency session to formally accept the resignation letter of Director of Schools Dr. Leah Watkins. Members could appoint an interim director at the meeting. Watkins was offered the director of schools position by the Obion County School Board last night. Watkins steps down as the school system works toward a $66.75 million school-building plan.
