A Cumberland County grand jury indicted 44-year-old Mark Christopher Brown for second-degree murder. Brown was transported by the Tennessee Department of Corrections to the courtroom in Crossville today for arraignment. The judge set his next court date for September 8, 2021. According to court documents, Brown stands accused of distributing meth to 22-year-old Madison Christine Brown in June 2020 resulting in her death. The cause was determined to be methamphetamine toxicity.

Brown was also charged with the sale of a Schedule II drug (meth) and the delivery of a Schedule II drug (meth).
