A Cumberland County Criminal Court judge set a trial date this morning for Thomas Mack Arnold, Sr. He is charged with first-degree murder. It allegedly stems from a fatal shooting of 63-year-old Billy Ray Jones at a residence on Christian Road on September 27, 2020. Arnold fled the scene and was stopped before sunrise the next day in south Georgia and extradited back to Crossville. The judge declared today motions will be heard in the case August 4, 2021 and the trial set to start November 3, 2021.
