BURGLARY AT HIGHWAY 70 NORTH HOME IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Cumberland County Deputies were called to a Highway 70 North home earlier this week to take a burglary report. The homeowner told officers that she arrived home that afternoon and discovered that someone had tried to kick in the front door. A muddy boot print could be seen on the door. An investigation of the premises revealed that the suspects went to the south end of the home and smashed in a window to gain entry. Each room was ransacked and jewelry, drugs, firearms and a compound bow were all stolen. Total amount of loss was $3500. The thieves then exited through the rear door to a vehicle parked in the rear, which spun out on the grass. The investigation is ongoing.
