Cumberland County deputies observed a suspect driving a vehicle on Highway 70 West yesterday that they tried to serve a warrant on previously. Officers stopped 39-year-old Rodney Lee Corbitt of Crossville and when they ordered Corbitt out of the car, he reportedly sped off. The pursuit reached speeds up to 95 miles per hour on Highway 70 West. Deputies deployed stop sticks on the road but Corbitt maneuvered around them. A second stop stick set up was successful and the pursuit ended on Star Drive. Corbitt was arrested for reckless driving, evading arrest and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
