Cumberland County deputies engaged in a high speed pursuit with a motorist for speeding yesterday on Cow Pen Road. Officers later stopped the vehicle reportedly driven by 38-year-old William Kirby of Smithville, who had an outstanding warrant from Putnam County. When officers transported Kirby to jail, they had to reroute and stop at the Crossville Stock Barn on Highway 70 North to meet an ambulance after Kirby was having medical issues. He was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment.
