A Roane County judge in court yesterday continued murder cases against two suspects until January 12, 2021. Officials say 21-year-old Casey Lee Ridenour and 33-year-old Samuel Lee Cook, both of Rockwood, each face second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. Cook was additionally charged with simple possession of drugs.

The body of 37-year-old Aaron Reed Brown of the Daysville community was pulled from the Emory River last week.

Ridenour and Cook continue to be held in the Roane County Jail on bonds just over a half million dollars each. Should they make bond, they will be required to wear a GPS monitor.
